Responsible for oversight of staff and quality control on and off the fields. Identify, establish and grow strategic partnerships to enhance the developmental process, exposure and pathway for players to reach their goals as well as the overall experience for the players, staff and families.

Serves as Club Champions League board member charged with directing VAFC CCL operations, staffing and player pools. Support, develop and evaluate the technical staff, in conjunction with the General Manager (GM), to create a club wide methodology from grass roots development through showcase level and work with the GM on club financials, fundraising as well as the identification and development of training and game facilities. Work with the Executive Staff and Board of Advisors to develop a short term and long term strategic plan - six months to five years out.  Schedule and lead bi-weekly interactive staff meetings to insure initiatives are in place, and carried out, so that organizational deadlines and goals are met.

Responsibilities are to insure all players, coaches, managers and the technical staff are carded with the proper league. Insure proper documentations are on file for the club, and submitted to the appropriate personnel so that the teams can compete within the leagues and events.

Insure each player is assigned and carded to the correct team according to league or event rules. Communicate with parents, coaches, managers, and the technical staff to insure documents needed, are received timely.

General Manager

Responsible to run the day-to-day team and training operations and managing all aspects of team formation, coach recruitment and management along with team training and development in conjunction with the Technical Director (TD) and support staff. 

Responsible to run the day-to-day team and training operations and managing all aspects of team formation, coach recruitment and management along with team training and development in conjunction with the Technical Director (TD) and support staff. 

The position is also responsible for overseeing the execution of Club programs and events, serves as a liaison between the Club and team/players and pertinent external entities and ensures that the Club is operating within its mission. Serves as Virginia Soccer League board member charged with directing VAFC VSL operations, staffing and player pools. Assist in the development and evaluation of the technical staff, creation of a club wide methodology from grass roots development through showcase level and work with the TD on club financials, sponsorship as well as the identification and development of training and game facilities. Serve as the lead for identifying appropriate tournaments and events for all teams working with the travel coordinator on all logistics associated. Will coordinate with the director of communications on the release of messaging to the membership as well as the director of club development on fundraising and alignment of any existing shared programming.

Director of Communications

Responsible for working with the TD and GM on the timing, consistency and content of messaging to the club membership through PlayMetrics, newsletters, club emails and social media.  Will organize the flow of communications to insure clear, concise and detailed information reaches the membership in a timely manner and provides them the ability to understand and advance plan for upcoming club matches, tournaments and events.

Director of Club Development

Responsible for providing oversight of fundraising, marketing, consistency and visibility of the club brand for VAFC as well as general management of the Peninsula program.  Will provide administrative support for the Club Champions League program working with the team managers as well as the Technical Director on day to day and match day operations for the CCL.

Travel Coordinator

Responsibilities include registration of club teams to all tournaments. Communicate with tournament directors concerning all matters concerning team/club tournaments. Block and book all travel lodging for the club teams for travel to insure rules are met concerning “Stay to Play” events. Communicate with parents, coaches, managers, and technical staff to insure are documents needed, are received timely.
